Repair Technician – Sepura
The Repair Technician will be part of Sepura’s Repairs team, ensuring that customer equipment is repaired to the high standard that users of Sepura devices expect and rely upon.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and confirm customer‑reported faults using manual and automated jigs and fixtures.
- Disassemble and reassemble products and replace key components.
- Inspect and verify repair work carried out.
- Use software tools required for processing and repair of products.
- Carry out hardware modifications as part of internal/customer projects.
- Meet required product turnaround times.
- Train internal/external staff if required.
- Available to visit customer premises for upgrading hardware if required.
- Record all repair work undertaken in Management System.
- Maintain provision of spare parts.
- Highlight potential problems quickly to the line manager for resolution.
Qualifications
- Higher level education: GNVQ, BTEC or A Levels.
- Demonstrable experience in a Repair/Service Environment following defined procedures.
- Mechanical assembly/disassembly of products and soldering for removal and replacement of components on PCB’s.
- Familiarity with using test equipment to use relevant servicing tools/jigs & fixtures.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy in following work instructions.
- Highly accurate and keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word).
Desirable
- Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with BGA machine.
- Awareness of Health and Safety processes.
- IPC inspection certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX/365.
