The Repair Technician will be part of Sepura’s Repairs team, ensuring that customer equipment is repaired to the high standard that users of Sepura devices expect and rely upon. As a Repair Technician, you will have a background in working in a structured, process-driven Repair/Service environment and experience in keeping on top of the workload within a busy Repair Centre.
Role:
- Diagnose and confirm customer-reported faults using defined procedures with test equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of products, including replacement of standard components.
- Conduct inspection and verification of completed repairs.
- Use required software tools to support the repair and processing of products.
- Carry out defined hardware modifications in line with work instructions.
- Deliver tasks to achieve product turnaround and service level requirements.
- Record all repair work accurately within the management system.
- Maintain availability and control of spare parts within your area.
- Escalate issues or risks promptly to the line manager.
Day to Day:

Providing an essential service to Sepura’s customers, you will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business.
Repair Technician Activities You Will Be Responsible For Include:
- Repair customer equipment using established procedures and test jigs.
- Verify successful repair through structured test and validation processes.
- Dispose of customer equipment in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and customer-driven hardware modification programmes.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments across Sepura.
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
- Follow defined processes, including Health & Safety guidelines.
Due to the nature of the services delivered by the team, this role requires candidates to be UK SC cleared.
Qualifications:
- Higher level education (e.g. GNVQ, BTEC or A Levels) Essential.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in a Repair/Service Environment following defined procedures.
- Mechanical Assembly/disassembly of Products and able to undertake PCB level soldering.
- Ability to use standard test equipment and service tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with using MS Office (Excel/Word).
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Experience in an Electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in the use of BGA Machine.
- Aware of Health and Safety processes.
- IPC inspection certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX/365.
