We are seeking a RF Engineer to play an important role within our Research and Development team. Sepura develops Mission Critical TETRA/LTE radios (sub‑6GHz), Cellular, BT, WiFi, GNSS, NFC and delivers the right solutions to customers worldwide, including police, fire, ambulance services, and critical mining and industrial customers. The company is a global leader in innovative communications solutions and is transitioning from TETRA to LTE ESN services. The role offers an exciting opportunity to develop next‑generation communication devices at Sepura Ltd in Waterbeach, Cambridge. Role Responsibilities Component evaluation, and sourcing Support on design (down to discrete component level) Integration with Digital, Audio, and MMI subsystems Circuit simulation Test definition and documentation Validation of designs Root‑cause analysis of failures with updates to design to resolve faults Schematic creation and PCB layout supervision This role may require some travel; the successful candidate will need a full, clean driving licence, their own car, and be able to travel overseas. Travel expenses will be covered. What you need to succeed As an RF Engineer you will be expected to verify designs, identify product issues and resolve complex engineering challenges with proactive presentation of solutions. You will also be involved in component selection and design with support from senior engineers as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field Experience and Technical Skills Understanding of RF systems and technologies, including design, simulation, and testing Proven hands‑on design experience with practical engineering intuition Good problem‑solving and analytical abilities Radio product development/integration up to 6GHz, ideally within the telecommunications or critical communications industry Excellent time‑management and communication skills, with a history of delivering projects/tasks on time and with high quality Core RF Expertise – you will have product validation and design experience in at least two of the following areas RF Tx/Rx architectures RF receivers
