This is a 6-12 month secondment opportunity for a dynamic individual with extensive nursing experience and leadership skills. The role focuses on building upon and improving quality, safety, and patient experience within the Surgical Division.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and support nursing teams within the Theatre and Perioperative Medicine services.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with divisional teams and senior management to develop and implement service improvements.
- Manage operational aspects of the service, including staffing, budgets, and compliance.
- Provide clinical expertise and leadership to promote best practices and evidence-based care.
Person Specification:
Experience: Senior nursing experience (Band 8a or above). Operational and managerial experience in an acute setting, including staff supervision and HR issues.
Skills: Leadership and change management skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Qualifications: Relevant teaching/mentoring qualification. Continued professional development evidence.
