We’re looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. This full-time role involves operating various types of vacuum tankers to support residential, commercial and construction drainage works, including emergency response jobs and scheduled site maintenance.
You’ll be joining a company with a strong pipeline of contracts and a commitment to doing things the right way: safely, professionally and with pride.
Responsibilities
- Operate various vacuum tankers, transporting a range of wastes across commercial and industrial facilities.
- Drive and operate specialist jetting and suction tankers
- Respond to emergency call-outs, addressing sewer blockages, flooding and pollution incidents.
- Handle the collection and safe disposal of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to statutory health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure operational compliance.
- Accurately record all job details and maintain proper documentation.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
- Ideally 2 years’ experience working in industrial and drainage services.
- ADR qualification beneficial but not essential.
- Good driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Flexibility to work away from home when required.
