Job Summary: As a Beauty Advisor specialising in cosmetics at Sephora, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and expertise in makeup, skincare and fragrance, ensuring smooth operation processes (cash and stock). You will assist customers in selecting products, educate them about current beauty trends, and promote Sephora's brand offerings. Your role will contribute to the overall success of the Sephora store in the UK by ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening, offering personalized recommendations and detailed application techniques.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up‑to‑date with the latest trends, techniques and products. Understand Sephora's brands, private labels and new launches, providing accurate information.
- Sales and Goals: Proactively engage customers to drive sales, recommend upsells, promote loyalty program, and participate in promotional activities.
- Cash Operations: Accurately process transactions in line with Sephora’s cash procedures, adhere to daily cash‑in and cash‑out processes, and maintain a clean cash area.
- Stock Management: Receive, inspect, label and catalogue shipments; perform regular stock counts and audits; monitor levels and reorder as needed.
- Stock Replenishment: Work with management to prioritize replenishment, restock shelves promptly, monitor expiry dates, assist in merchandising plans.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain organised and visually appealing sections; monitor expiry dates; participate in displays and promotions.
- Brand Representation: Embody Sephora’s values, maintain professional appearance, uphold visual standards, act as ambassador.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with beauty advisors and managers, share knowledge, participate in meetings, trainings and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a retail/customer experience focused environment and/or cash and stock operations.
- Passion and knowledge of makeup, skincare and fragrance products, techniques and industry trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, building rapport with customers.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, carry heavy boxes, stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and personalise recommendations.
- Goal‑oriented mindset and ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
