Overview
As Regional Retail Director, you will lead a multi-site region to deliver sustainable growth, exceptional customer experience, and strong talent pipelines.
You will translate strategy into regional execution, guiding Area Managers and Store Directors to drive sales and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Area Managers and Store Directors to build a high-performing, inclusive culture with strong engagement and succession outcomes
- Own regional talent strategy, including workforce planning, talent reviews, and leadership development
- Achieve regional sales, profit and productivity targets through commercial leadership and execution
- Drive performance on KPIs: conversion, basket, ATV, UPT, loyalty, and brand penetration
- Develop and execute regional growth plans using market insights to identify opportunities
- Champion customer experience and Sephora Attitude across all stores
- Lead successful openings and integration of new stores with operational readiness and talent pipelines
- Partner cross-functionally on launches, campaigns, and regional execution
- Ensure best-in-class operations: compliance, Health & Safety, stock integrity, inventory, and visual standards
- Manage regional payroll, expenses and productivity, aligning resources with commercial goals
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency without compromising CX or employee experience
- Balance short-term results with long-term capability and regional expansion
- Key requirements
- Proven experience leading a sizeable multi-site retail region
- Experience developing leaders of leaders (Area Managers and senior store teams)
- Strong succession planning and talent development expertise
- Commercially astute with data-driven decision making across multiple KPIs
- Experience in payroll, budgeting and cost management at regional level
- Track record of successful store openings and regional expansion
- Deep understanding of customer experience and brand standards in a customer-centric environment
- Operational excellence in compliance, Health & Safety, stock integrity, inventory and loss prevention
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region and wider UK
