The Opportunity – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

At SEPHORA, data plays an important role in helping us better understand our customers, measure performance and identify opportunities for growth.

We're looking for an Data Analyst to join us on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to support our Ecommerce and Digital teams by delivering accurate reporting, actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.

Working closely with Ecommerce, Marketing and CRM teams, you'll help monitor performance, analyse customer behaviour and support key business decisions through reporting and analytics.

  • What you’ll be doing…
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting that track key ecommerce and digital performance metrics, including traffic, engagement, conversion and campaign performance.
  • Analyse customer, website and trading data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Support Ecommerce, Digital Marketing and CRM teams with data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Quantum Metric and other digital platforms to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Translate data and findings into clear, easy-to-understand summaries for a range of stakeholders.
  • Deliver regular weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports to support business performance reviews.
  • Support the accuracy and integrity of digital reporting and tracking.
  • Create data visualisations using Power BI and other reporting tools to make performance data accessible and meaningful.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to support commercial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on testing, measurement and optimisation initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and attention to detail across all reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and enhance business insight.

This role can either be based out of our HQ in Russell Square, London or be fully remote in the UK.

What you’ll bring…

You’ll bring experience in Ecommerce, Digital or Retail Analytics, with a natural curiosity for using data to solve problems, uncover opportunities and support confident business decision-making.

Highly analytical and detail-oriented, you’re able to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights while managing multiple priorities with accuracy and focus.

  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Google Data Studio or similar platforms.
  • Confident using digital analytics tools including Google Analytics, Quantum Metric or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.
  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform and Google Tag Manager would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to competitor benchmarking and market analysis tools.
  • Experience working with Big Query and SQL, particularly for data analysis and customer segmentation, would be beneficial.
  • Experience within beauty, retail or another consumer-facing business would be an advantage.
