Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and preferences.
- Offer personalized product recommendations and advice, considering individual skin type, tone, needs, and desired look.
- Provide detailed information on product selection and application techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and products available at Sephora, including private label offerings.
- Drive sales by recommending additional products, upselling complementary items, and promoting the Sephora loyalty program.
- Participate in promotional activities and events.
- Accurately process customer transactions, abiding by cash procedures and audit reports; manage daily cash-in and cash-out procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in workspaces such as the cash area and gift wrap stations.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of merchandise; unpack, label, and tag products efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, perform regular stock counts, and assist with inventory audits.
- Prioritize stock replenishment tasks, restock sales floor promptly, and maintain appealing product displays.
- Monitor product expiry dates and rotate stock as necessary; assist in merchandising plans and promotional displays.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and visually appealing makeup, skincare, and fragrance section, ensuring shelves are stocked.
- Represent Sephora brand values, maintain a professional appearance, and uphold visual merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with the store team to create a positive and inclusive work environment, share best practices, and participate in team meetings, trainings, and workshops.
- Support new store opening procedures by unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring smooth transitions.
Qualifications
- Experience in a retail/customer experience focused environment and/or in-store operations (cash and stock).
- Passion for and knowledge of makeup, skincare, and fragrance products, techniques, applications, and industry trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and connect with customers.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and personalize recommendations based on customer needs.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
