You will work within the NetSec team and will be responsible for supporting leading security solutions and services for our clients. The role requires proficiency with industry-leading technology, Check Point at CCSE (Check Point Security Expert) level or equivalent. Experience with other vendors such as Fortinet, CrowdStrike and Palo Alto is highly desirable. Staff members will be expected to take part in on-the-job training via a mixture of eLearning and internal training to continue to grow their technical knowledge set to be in line with the team's high standard.

Main Tasks:

  • Perform technical investigation utilising a proactive approach to customer network security management in a range of network security solutions.
  • Configure and maintain existing deployed security solutions to a high level.
  • Take ownership of support requests from customers seeing through to resolution.
  • Delivery of proactive services, leading the customer into making better security decisions.
  • Perform a good level of troubleshooting across a range of vendor products to resolve customer issues.
  • Be familiar with key vendor technologies and strategies such as redundancy, availability, packet acceleration, load sharing, VPN and disaster recovery.
  • Perform minor and major version upgrades across a range of key vendors.
  • Active participation in the team on-call rota.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in security or networking positions.
  • Holds a Check Point CCSE qualification or equivalent in other security vendors (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, SentinalOne).
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SNMP management systems.
  • Experienced in working with VPN technologies and route and switch environments.
