We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Commercial Property Solicitor to join our in-house legal team. The successful candidate will act exclusively for the company, providing clear and commercially focused legal advice across our property portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor with substantial commercial property experience to work in-house for one client and manage a varied commercial property caseload.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide specialist legal advice on a broad range of commercial property matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial leases, licences, deeds of variation, lease renewals and other property-related agreements.
- Manage commercial property acquisitions from initial instruction through to completion.
- Conduct and review property due diligence, title documentation, searches and enquiries.
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters, including lease assignments, subletting, alterations and surrender arrangements.
- Support the business with property disposals, refinancing and portfolio management matters where required.
- Identify legal and commercial risks and provide practical solutions that protect the company’s interests.
- Liaise and negotiate with tenants, landlords, agents, lenders, external solicitors and other professional advisers.
- Ensure all property transactions comply with applicable legislation and internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate legal records and provide regular updates on ongoing matters.
- Monitor relevant legislative developments and advise the business on any potential impact.

Requirements
\n

- Qualified solicitor with an active practising certificate and registration with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
- Ideally, experience in commercial property law.
- Extensive experience handling commercial leases and commercial property acquisitions.
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law and commercial property transactions.
- Previous in-house experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to provide practical and solutions-focused legal advice.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and meet competing deadlines.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable working closely with senior management and other departments.
