Three Shapes Management (TSM) - a £20m turnover group of four complimentary Construction & Surveying support businesses - are looking to add a suitably experienced Marketing Manager to our team. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to promote the services and products offered by our businesses, using both online and offline mediums to engage with more prospective customers and drive lead generation.

The products & services offered by these businesses are:

  • SEP Engineers - Established in 1986, specialises in the provision of Site Engineering & Surveying services to all manner of Construction projects - Setting-out, Quality Assurance & Record Keeping/As-built Surveying.
  • SEP Geospatial - Hire, Sales & Servicing of Survey Equipment such as Total Stations, GPS Systems and Laser Levels, operating nationwide from depots in Lancashire, Cambridgeshire & Worcestershire.
  • SMT (Subsurface Measurement Technology) - Hire, Sale & Servicing of Subsurface Survey equipment including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Drainage Inspection & Cable Detection systems.
  • Site Pro Survey - supply & distribution of Survey equipment accessories across the UK and Europe.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Branding – ensure brand consistency is achieved throughout all internal & external communications.
  • Social Media – managing the social media accounts for each group business, creating content that is engaging, professional & aligned with the group’s vision at all times. Monitor the accounts of our competitors and customers/prospective customers to identify sales leads.
  • Websites – collaborating with external parties to maintain & improve websites for each group business. Regular updating of products & pricing on two e-commerce sites. Managing SEO for all sites, measuring & reviewing the efficacy of keywords & Google Ads. Ensuring that all information shown on the websites (pricing, accreditations, etc.) is accurate and that any data captured by the websites is managed in line with GDPR regulations.
  • E-marketing – undertaking email campaigns to promote our products/services/prices that are relevant and professional at all times.
  • Advertising – investigate & identify suitable online & offline outlets on/in which we can promote our services/products/recruitment activity, in addition to Social Media channels.
  • Trade Shows / Exhibitions – develop & manage an annual calendar of shows at which we could exhibit or visit, both in the UK and Europe. Coordinate arrangements for attending personnel. Produce innovative stand designs to increase attendee engagement ratios. Investigate sponsorship opportunities.
  • Offline Marketing Materials – develop a suite of products (ie. mugs, wall planners, desk calendars) to be distributed at Trade Shows, on Construction Sites, etc. Complete designs personally (or collaborate with external parties). Manage stock levels.
  • Graphic Design – (either personally or through external parties) complete ad-hoc graphic design tasks such as internal documents, price lists, etc.
  • Customer Relations – review and enhance the methods, strategies and processes the group uses to build and maintain customer relationships including the introduction of regular customer newsletters. Manage the invitation and attendance of our customers to sporting and non-sporting events such as football matches and golf days.
  • Public Relations – develop, deliver & promote a CSR strategy with a particular focus on Employee Engagement and Corporate Philanthropy.
  • Competition – monitor competitor activities, highlighting any wins or losses with respect to trading or recruitment to Divisional Management.

Who we're looking for:

To fulfil the role to the levels required we're looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience in creating & delivering marketing strategies within both B2B and B2C environments for an SME. You will be a natural people person with the ability to establish and maintain good relationships by building trust and credibility. Construction or Engineering industry experience advantageous but not essential. Ideally Degree or CIM qualified but not essential. Specific experience in digital marketing – utilising SEO tools, social media, email campaigns. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with both internal & external parties. Fantastic writing & presentation skills with the ability to write copy & complete design work for print and digital mediums. Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Proficiency in CRMs, MS Office and Graphic Design software. An understanding of the nuances of marketing and business development activity in a group structure situation would be advantageous. Event management experience is desirable. Although you'd be based from our Head Office in Lathom, West Lancashire, we expect the role to involve you travelling to our other locations in Worcestershire, Cambridgeshire and Kent to discuss strategies and activities with Divisional Management. Due to the mobility required, applicants must have a Full, and ideally clean, Driving Licence.
