Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper, and friendlier. We’re building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:

  • One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 500 people
  • Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
  • Profitable since 2017
  • Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
  • Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days. We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to:

  • Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1.
  • Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo.
  • Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting.

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced, talented, and proactive Digital Marketing Designer to join our dynamic Marketing team at Lendable. As the fifth member of our design team, reporting to the Group Product Manager, you will have a broad scope, covering all aspects of design related to our direct advertising and organic content. Your responsibilities will include producing statics, illustrations and animated visuals for advertising campaigns; creating SEO and CRM assets. Your contributions will be essential in driving our marketing initiatives, enhancing brand awareness, and improving customer engagement across multiple platforms. You will be expected to conduct research and competitor scanning, becoming an expert in understanding what our peers and other financial companies are doing in marketing assets.

What we’re looking for:

  • Has 2+ years of design work experience, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment.
  • Has experience in creating high performing designs for digital marketing, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Is able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to the fast-paced marketing landscape.
  • Is fully customer-centric and a problem solver who asks the right questions to understand marketing goals and audience needs.
  • Is proficient in design tools (e.g., Adobe creative suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma), working with design systems and has a solid design process. Skills in After Effects and motion graphics is a big plus.
  • Creates assets that are consistent with the design system, including visual elements, typography, and user interface components, and collaborates with the design team to refine and grow the system.
  • Is friendly and approachable, able to give and take feedback well, and is enthusiastic about collaborating within a creative team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with marketing and product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define campaign goals, visual themes and key messaging.
  • Create static visuals for digital advertising and organic marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency with brand identity.
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify trends in marketing assets from peers and other financial companies, and apply insights to design strategies.
  • Design and produce CRM/remarketing email templates that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Develop engaging social media creatives that contribute to organic growth and community engagement.
  • Maintain a consistent visual language across all marketing materials to ensure brand coherence.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics, optimising for user engagement and conversions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the marketing design processes and workflows.
  • Support with video editing.
  • Conduct user research to gain insights into user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with marketing copy writing.

Interview Process:

  • CV screening
  • An introductory call with someone from the Talent Team and/or hiring manager
  • A take-home exercise to complete in your own time
  • Task debrief with the hiring manager (45 mins)
  • Final interviews, in person interviews & visit to the office (3x 30 min interviews on the same day): Design Team, Marketing Team, Final round interview with our leadership team

  • Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to whip up breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks in the office every Tuesday-Thursday.
