We’re working with an early stage, but well funded, technology company building a production grade data platform for real time systems and analytics at scale. While the business has roots in autonomous systems, the core value sits firmly in the software and data intelligence platform that turns live data into usable insight. As the platform evolves and customer usage grows, the team are looking to bring in another Senior Software Engineer with a full stack skillset. Ideally this person will bring a front end skew, helping shape the product experience while still contributing across backend services and platform components where needed. The business is well funded, gaining strong customer traction, and building toward a significant scale up phase over the next 12 to 24 months.
What you’ll get:
- Hands on ownership of real product features used by customers
- Exposure to a data intensive, real time platform
- The opportunity to work across the stack in a small, high ownership engineering team
- Close collaboration with platform, backend, and architecture leadership
- A supportive environment with clear technical direction and room to grow
What you’ll be doing:
- Building new product features used by customers interacting with live operational data
- Contributing to React based user interfaces and improving front end structure where needed
- Developing backend services and APIs that support product functionality
- Working closely with the platform team as customer driven features are integrated into the core system
- Supporting the evolution of a production platform handling large volumes of real world data
- Contributing across front end, backend, and cloud infrastructure depending on the problem being solved
What we’re looking for:
- Min of 5 years experience as a software engineer working in production environments, ideally as a fullstack engineer
- Backend experience in Python or similar service based environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
- Comfortable working in small teams where engineers take ownership of systems rather than tickets
This is not a pure front end role. The team are looking for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, and keen to develop their skills further in Python and or AWS, but who can also contribute meaningfully to the product interface and user experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience working on data heavy or analytics driven products
- Exposure to mapping, visualisation, or operational dashboards
- Experience working in early stage product or platform teams
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 plus benefits
Important: Applicants must already be based in the UK
