This is a frontend-led full stack role at an early stage technology company building a production grade data platform for real-time systems and analytics at scale. The platform is in active use with real customers, and the team is accelerating fast.
You will own and build customer facing features end to end, working primarily in React across the frontend while reaching into Python backend services and AWS infrastructure as needed. You will also contribute to the core platform as the product scales, not just the layer on top of it. This is not a narrowly scoped UI role. You are close to the product, close to the customer, and close to the architecture.
What you will be doing:
- Building customer facing features in React, from design through to delivery
- Working into Python backend services to complete features end to end
- Using AWS to deploy, support, and iterate on production capabilities
- Collaborating with platform engineers to fold new features back into the core product
- Shaping patterns, structure, and engineering standards as the system grows
- Taking ownership of reliability and performance in a production environment
What we are looking for:
- 5 or more years building production SaaS systems as a Software Engineer
- Strong React fundamentals with real production experience
- Working ability in Python backend development
- Cloud experience, ideally AWS
- Comfortable in early stage environments with high ownership and some ambiguity
- A production first mindset, reliability and maintainability over speed
Nice to haves:
- Experience in data intensive or real-time systems
- Exposure to API driven architectures and modern frontend patterns
- Previous work on customer facing SaaS platforms
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 plus benefits. No sponsorship available. Applicants must already be based in the UK and be eligible for security clearance (min 5 years working in the UK).
