The business operates from two key sites in the UK – Lytham St. Annes and Hemel Hempstead, with an additional office in China. We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our small dynamic team in Lytham St. Annes.
Role Overview
This pivotal role involves supporting and working alongside Product Development & Account Managers – working with shipping lines, freight forwarders, suppliers, colleagues and customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience, the ability to work independently and collaborate with the wider team, and a passion for retail and/or manufacturing with a can‑do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and manage a supply chain critical path that aligns with and meets all customers’ critical path deadlines.
- Generate purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Input data into customer portals – CRM knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Communicate and coordinate with China factories, arranging critical paths to complete admin, in‑house databases and customer tracker requirements.
- Understand the manufacturing process, audit processes and requirements for customers.
- Analyse, communicate and coordinate shipping timelines to meet deadlines.
- Compile key reports to support Product Development & Sales teams.
- Problem‑solve and analyse key data within a fast‑paced business, operating in a calm and organised manner.
- Supplier coordination: communicate with suppliers to manage critical paths, build direct relationships and maintain communication with the China office and key factories.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: work closely with Product Development and Sales teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of all products across the customer base; challenge and influence; coach and accept feedback constructively; maintain a one‑team approach.
- Customer coordination: effective, clear communication that supports and builds business relationships with customers nationally and internationally.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
- Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience: Previous experience in supply chain or merchandising, preferably within retail or the homeware industry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external suppliers and customers – in person and remotely.
- Organisational skills: Proactive and organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Analytical thinking: Ability to analyse and organise data with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player: Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and transparent communication.
- Attention to detail: Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
