Role Summary: The Account Manager will oversee daily operations and maintain high standards of client service for a portfolio of around 40 clients across the Manchester and Stockport area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and control contract operations and delivery within the portfolio.
  • Lead, develop, manage and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to agreed standards.
  • Coach and develop operatives to improve their skills to an exceptional standard.
  • Ensure full adherence to company policies, site specifications and operational excellence.
  • Manage holidays, rotas and recruitment, induction and ongoing training of staff.
  • Handle HR and employee relation issues, grievance and disciplinary hearings.
  • Identify opportunities for new business, additions to service and non‑contractual work.
  • Address client queries effectively and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Use Time & Attendance system correctly and support business development to maximise profit.
  • Be commercially minded, identify improvement areas, manage KPIs, and report results.
  • Represent the client professionally at all times and lead by example.
  • Manage budgets, labour cost, chemical and uniform costs.
  • Improve innovation, productivity and continuous improvement of service performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years experience as Cleaning Account Manager (required).
  • 3+ years experience leading teams (required).
  • Valid driving licence (required).

Schedule & Remuneration

  • Full‑time, Monday to Friday.
