Role Summary: The Account Manager will oversee daily operations and maintain high standards of client service for a portfolio of around 40 clients across the Manchester and Stockport area.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and control contract operations and delivery within the portfolio.
- Lead, develop, manage and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to agreed standards.
- Coach and develop operatives to improve their skills to an exceptional standard.
- Ensure full adherence to company policies, site specifications and operational excellence.
- Manage holidays, rotas and recruitment, induction and ongoing training of staff.
- Handle HR and employee relation issues, grievance and disciplinary hearings.
- Identify opportunities for new business, additions to service and non‑contractual work.
- Address client queries effectively and maintain high client satisfaction.
- Use Time & Attendance system correctly and support business development to maximise profit.
- Be commercially minded, identify improvement areas, manage KPIs, and report results.
- Represent the client professionally at all times and lead by example.
- Manage budgets, labour cost, chemical and uniform costs.
- Improve innovation, productivity and continuous improvement of service performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years experience as Cleaning Account Manager (required).
- 3+ years experience leading teams (required).
- Valid driving licence (required).
