Sentrex Services UK Ltd is a multi-million pound rapidly expanding Contract Cleaning and Facility Management Company. Sentrex was founded in 2009 and our Directors & Managers have over 30 years combined experience in the industry. Sentrex provides a wide variety of services to commercial businesses across various industries including Warehouse & Distribution, Education & Financial Services.

Role Purpose
The Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate control, availability, movement, and accountability of all stock items, including cleaning consumables, equipment, PPE, and ancillary supplies. The role supports operational continuity, cost control, and compliance through effective stock management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels across all assigned locations (warehouse and/or client sites).
- Carry out regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and spot checks.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or over‑stocking.
- Ensure stock is stored safely, securely, and in accordance with manufacturer and H&S requirements.
- Goods In / Goods Out
- Receive, check, and log deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for damage, accuracy, and quality upon receipt.
- Issue stock to operational teams in line with authorised requests.
- Maintain accurate Goods In / Goods Out records.
- Ordering & Supplier Coordination
- Raise or prepare stock requisitions based on usage trends and forecast demand.
- Liaise with approved suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, or returns.
- Flag supply chain risks or repeated issues to management.
- Cost Control & Waste Reduction
- Monitor consumption rates and identify abnormal usage or wastage.
- Support initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and control costs.
- Ensure obsolete, damaged, or expired stock is quarantined and disposed of correctly.
- Systems & Documentation
- Update stock records using company systems (e.g. spreadsheets, stock management software).
- Maintain clear audit trails for ordering, issuing, and returns.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate stock data when required.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure storage areas comply with health & safety regulations.
- Manage COSHH-related stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure correct allocation and tracking of PPE.
- Communication & Support
- Communicate stock availability and issues clearly to operations, management, and site teams.
- Support mobilisation for new contracts by assisting with initial stock set‑up.
- Work collaboratively with Operation Managers, Service Managers, and Senior Management Team.

Experience & Knowledge (Typical)
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse, FM, or maintenance environments
- Additional administrative duties will be required from time to time
- Familiarity with cleaning consumables, equipment, or PPE (desirable)
- Basic IT competence (Excel / stock systems)
- Understanding of health & safety principles relating to storage and handling
Accountability & Reporting
- Accountable for accuracy of stock records within assigned remit
- Reports to: Office Manager
