Stores Assistant required for busy warehouse near Weaste, Trafford Park, M30 0LX. Working hours will be 7hrs per day, starting at approx. 8am - 4pm with 1hr unpaid break for lunch.
General stores duties required but not limited to:
- Manage the stores operation at specified times.
- Accept deliveries, check and book in goods, and notify recipients of arrival.
- Issue spares and stock items ensuring record keeping and administrative procedures are followed.
- Maintain ongoing and pro-active liaison with site staff regarding technical specifications, ordering queries and to ensure adequate levels of stock items.
- Conduct periodic stock taking activities as requested and take follow-up actions as necessary, investigate stock discrepancies and implement remedial actions.
- Conduct daily check of PPE and ensure minimum specified stock levels are consistently available.
- Order stock items following the designated Stores Ordering Process ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained and re-order levels adhered to.
- Place orders with suppliers and ensure they are tracked from placement through to delivery.
- Ensure good standards of housekeeping are maintained within the stores environment.
- Ensure all ordering, fulfilment, delivery and inventory records are maintained and computerised system contains accurate data.
- Manage all parts locations via the computer system and ensure locations and bays are labelled with part number, part description and minimum stock quantity.
- Manage stocks of paper products.
- Order supplies as necessary from nominated supplier/s.
- Deliver packages around site.
- Action requests from client staff as required e.g. arrange furniture and equipment in meeting rooms.
Record Keeping
- Maintain records as specified to provide adequate audit trail for Stores management, ordering and delivery activities, including manual & computer records and Sage entries.
Other Duties
- Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
