Our client, a leading Heavy Haulage Transport company requires a SHEQ Advisor/Coordinator to be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety within the business and assist on current SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Contributing towards the achievement of SHEQ accreditations in line with the company's strategic plan.
- Ensure produced policies, procedures and Risk Assessments are correctly implemented across the business.
- Complete the annual review of risk assessments, to include COSHH risk assessments.
- Ensure all documentation relating to health and safety, environmental and quality systems is kept up to date and accurate.
- Ensure that existing certifications and standards are maintained for ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
- Assist in audits and assist in the implementation of any corrective actions.
- To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings and implement changes.
- Working with the H&S team to coordinate & participate in H&S safety inspections.
- Undertake accident and incident investigations to ensure the timely production of corrective and preventative action plans.
- Identify safety, health and environment training needs and assist the SHEQ Administrator manage all course bookings including CSCS, CPCS and E learning training.
- Providing expert health and safety advice and knowledge to the business and working closely with the management team across the business to support and advise in all HSEQ matters.
- Manage the day-to-day H&S.
- Undertake day-to-day health and safety activities.
- Undertake safety briefings, lessons learnt and distribute other safety related communications.
- Maintain own level of knowledge and competency in relation to HSEQ Management and responsibilities including appropriate qualifications and professional membership.
Qualification/Skills:
- NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards).
- Internal Audit qualification.
- Up to date knowledge of ISO certification process.
- Excellent communication skills with wider business and relevant stakeholders.
This role is commutable from Stratford Upon Avon, South Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Henley in Arden and Kidderminster.
