Program PMO Lead | Oxford (Hybrid)

12 Month contract – Potential of extending

We're looking for a Program PMO Lead to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a large, multi-workstream transformation programme. You'll partner closely with senior leadership, providing governance, oversight and delivery confidence while helping project teams stay aligned, focused and on track.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and maintain programme governance, standards and best practices.
  • Build and oversee programme plans, milestones and cross-project dependencies.
  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs and programme reporting.
  • Drive risk, issue and change management across multiple workstreams.
  • Challenge and support project teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinate governance forums, decision logs and programme documentation.
  • Promote continuous improvement and leverage AI and project management tools to improve delivery efficiency.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience leading PMO activities within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong background in programme governance, planning, reporting and delivery assurance.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Clarity PPM, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O or PMP is highly desirable.
