The Role
One of our utilities clients is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of secure network solutions within a critical infrastructure environment. This is a hands-on role focused on design, configuration, and support rather than purely physical installation. You will work across a complex operational network that connects remote sites, control systems, and operational facilities, helping ensure reliable and secure connectivity. You’ll be involved throughout the full lifecycle of network solutions - from concept and design through to implementation and steady-state operation - working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver network solutions in line with agreed security and operational standards
- Provide support for operational technology (OT) networks
- Maintain and understand LAN and WAN network topology (logical and physical)
- Support the development of network strategy and roadmap activities
- Identify network risks and contribute practical mitigation strategies
- Work with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver resilient network solutions
