Sentinel is partnering with a specialist team working at the cutting edge of speech AI and clinical research. Their work sits at the intersection of acoustic engineering, machine learning and regulated clinical environments.
This is a senior individual contributor role with two core objectives: producing credible, publishable research that validates the science externally, and building the models and pipelines that power the product internally.
Responsibilities:
- Building and improving audio and transcript processing pipelines - segmentation, noise reduction, feature extraction
- Extracting acoustic, prosodic and linguistic features: pitch, speech rate, pauses, jitter, shimmer, spectral features, sentiment and more
- Developing models that map signals to behavioural indicators and well-being scores
- Fine-tuning and integrating LLMs for conversation summarisation, signal labelling and emotion assessment
- Designing validation studies and contributing to publications, reports and clinical evidence packages
Requirements:
- Research background, including publishing and presenting
- Hands-on experience with raw audio data and speech processing tools (such as librosa, Kaldi, Praat)
