Sentinel is working with a construction consultancy client, who are seeking several Project/Programme Directors to lead and deliver large-scale capital projects, programmes and complex portfolios. The successful candidates would be comfortable taking full accountability for delivery, cost, schedule, quality, and commercial outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role for candidates with experience managing high-value projects (£100m+).
Role Responsibilities- Own and deliver major projects and programmes, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, and commercial performance
- Implement and embed robust project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M) practices
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors to manage risk, maintain quality, and protect commercial outcomes
- Provide senior-level insight on delivery performance, cost, and commercial matters to client leadership teams
- Support organisational transformation, capability building, and adoption of digital ways of working
- Proven experience leading and delivering major capital projects, programmes or large portfolios (£100m+) across any industry
- Experience with complex contract environments (NEC experience is essential)
- Strong leadership of multi-disciplinary teams on high-value projects
- Expertise in project controls, cost, commercial, and performance management
- Excellent stakeholder management, strategic judgment, and decision-making skills
