The Opportunity:
Sentinel is working with a well-established consultancy that is looking to hire a Hospital/Healthcare Planner into their growing team. This is a key hire due to project demand and a rare opportunity to join a specialist team working at the forefront of UK healthcare transformation and major hospital programmes. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll take ownership of projects, lead workstreams, and play a visible role with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Leading healthcare planning & strategy engagements end-to-end
- Demand & capacity modelling
- Clinical/service planning
- Strategic & outline business cases (SOC/OBC)
- Healthcare facility planning & briefing
- Supporting major hospital programmes (including NHP-aligned projects)
- Running clinical stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions
- Reviewing/coordinating designs, layouts, and equipment planning
- Acting as a trusted advisor to NHS and private clients
- Contributing to bids, proposals, and winning new work
Skills/Experience:
- Consultancy background
- Time spent in an NHS Trust/public sector planning environment
- Strong experience in healthcare strategy/planning/infrastructure
- Strong understanding of hospital planning & clinical workflows
- Experience working on business cases (SOC/OBC)
- Exposure to the New Hospital Programme (NHP) (desirable)
