I'm looking for a senior digital delivery leader to take overall accountability for the successful delivery and live operation of a major consumer-facing mobile app and website for a leading global airline. This is a hands-on, high-accountability delivery leadership role. We're looking for someone who has personally owned major consumer digital platforms through release, go-live and live operation — not simply someone who has managed a portfolio of projects.

What you'll own:

  • End-to-end delivery of the consumer mobile app and website, from planning through to production.
  • Release & go-live: own what gets released, when it gets released and ensure releases land safely and successfully.
  • App Store governance: oversee mobile release protocols, App Store / Google Play requirements and ensure the app remains live, available and compliant.
  • Multiple delivery teams: coordinate tribes, squads, product & engineering teams, internal stakeholders, third parties and technology vendors.
  • Production incidents: take accountability for major incidents, driving resolution and ensuring issues are effectively managed.
  • Hypercare: lead post-release hypercare and stabilisation following significant launches.
  • Budgets & governance: manage delivery budgets, risks, dependencies, governance and senior stakeholder communication.

Ultimately, you own the outcome — ensuring major changes get successfully into production and that the customer experience remains stable and available.

What we're looking for:

  • You’ll ideally have recent experience delivering a large-scale consumer digital platform, with responsibility for both mobile and web.
  • We’re particularly interested in people who can demonstrate experience of:
    • Leading delivery of a major consumer-facing mobile app and website
    • Owning complex production releases and go-lives
    • Managing App Store / Google Play release processes
    • Working across multiple tribes, squads or engineering/product teams
    • Managing third-party suppliers and technology partners
    • Owning budgets and delivery governance
    • Leading major production incidents and resolution
    • Running post-release hypercare
    • Working in high-volume, highly visible consumer environments
    • Managing complex dependencies and senior stakeholders

Experience in airlines, travel, retail, e-commerce, financial services, marketplaces or other high-volume consumer digital platforms would be particularly relevant.

The opportunity:

This is an opportunity to take a high-profile, business-critical consumer digital platform and play a key role in how new capabilities are delivered to millions of customers. If you’ve been the person who ultimately says “we are ready to release” — and then owns what happens when it goes live — I’d be very interested in speaking with you.

How to prepare for a job interview at Sentinel

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Sentinel uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
