Sentinel is working with a leading provider of exquisite framed fine art, offering a diverse collection of antique prints, photography, and contemporary works. With a focus on exceptional quality and handcrafted framing, they cater to the interior design trade worldwide. We are growing the team and seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Assistant to the finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger: Accurately input invoices into the Purchase Ledger, ensuring timely processing and liaison with relevant departments for approvals.
- Expense Management: Match credit card transactions with supporting documentation and allocate expenses to appropriate cost centres.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular credit card, supplier statement, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Debtor Management: Monitor and manage aged debtors, ensuring timely collection and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Utility Management: Oversee utility accounts and related payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Support: Support the Head of Finance with daily tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and resolving discrepancies.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the production of financial reports as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Strong numerical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
