Our client, a multinational Plc, requires an Allegro Technical specialist to join its Markets IT team to perform a key role in delivering a range of technical services for the Allegro platform.

Allegro is the ETRM system used our client’s traders 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is hosted on an Azure cloud platform. Allegro is the central repository for capturing trades within the business and manages the workflow of trades through the complete lifecycle.

Guidance and direction on Allegro specific technical changes and operational support is therefore required (including assurance of service transition during the DevOps cycle). You will work closely with the ETRM Product Owner and Delivery Lead to support the delivery of the Allegro service and your knowledge and influence will facilitate the ongoing maintenance and development of the key Allegro components.

Key responsibilities:

– Testing, automating, monitoring and supporting the Allegro Platform across production and non-production environments, with some ad hoc design and build required

– Managing 3rd Party ION relationships and technical reviews of upcoming releases

– Providing the focal point for advice, guidance and technical input through knowledge transfer, one to one workshops and mentoring of other team members as required.

– Managing major IT incidents to resolution within defined SLAs and utilising problem management to avoid repeat occurrences.

Skills & Experience:

Candidates from the following backgrounds will be considered: Technical Business Analysis, Application Support, Architecture and Technical Development.

– Technical knowledge of the Allegro Platform (ETRM), API Integration with 3rd party exchanges.

– Agile full SDLC experience from a DevOps engineering perspective with a preference for building applications with Azure experience or other DevOps tools such as Git/Github.

– Experience in Build & Release Management, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), ideally using Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, releases) to release software to production.

– Knowledge of deployments using Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and ARM templates
