About the Role:
Sentinel is partnering with a specialist consultancy to fill a number of positions, including a senior, strategy-focused professional working with organisations operating in the life sciences and research environments. The role sits at the front end of major client decisions, helping senior stakeholders define direction, evaluate options and shape long-term plans before projects move into delivery. You will work closely with public and private sector clients in the UK and internationally, providing high-level advice that supports investment decisions, portfolio planning and the future development of complex estates. Delivery and implementation are handled by dedicated teams, allowing this role to remain focused on thinking, analysis, client leadership and decision support. This position would suit a chartered built-environment professional who enjoys working with clients at an early stage, influencing outcomes, and operating in a consultancy setting where credibility, clarity of thought and commercial awareness are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping them navigate complex, high-value decisions within life sciences and research environments
- Lead client-facing engagements focused on early-stage planning, option development, evidence gathering and decision-making support
- Translate client objectives into clear, structured recommendations supported by robust analysis and professional judgement
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary internal teams, while remaining focused on strategy rather than delivery
- Contribute to business development through client relationships, proposal input and repeat work
Skills/Experience:
- Chartered status in Architecture, Facilities Management, Engineering or a related built-environment discipline
- Extensive experience within the life sciences sector
- Experience gained within a consultancy or advisory environment is strongly preferred, although candidates from other backgrounds with a consultancy-style skillset will also be considered
- Proven ability to operate at senior stakeholder level, influencing decisions and providing clear, credible advice
- Excellent analytical, written and presentation skills
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting business growth or client development
