Overview
Though this role is initially to cover maternity leave, we anticipate that, with the business's growth over the next 12 months, there could be a longer-term role for the right person within the company. The role of Production Support is diverse, acting as a key link between suppliers, the shopfloor, management and customers.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 0730-1615 | Friday: 0730-1230
Responsibilities
- Updating of customer schedules
- Liaising with customers on delivery dates and order confirmation
- Ordering materials, components/tooling and liaising with suppliers
- Generating Works Orders as and when required
- Creating and following up on RFQ’s for materials/components
- Booking in stock and closing off works orders
- Maintenance of Sales Order list, Works Order list and Purchase Order List on Sage
- Stock quantity verification
- Monitoring of Stock quantities and maintaining stock levels at agreed quantities for components, materials and finished parts
- Maintenance of stock figures and fulfilment of Sentinel Vactec orders
- Liaising with our India team to ensure UK customer schedules are fulfilled
- Organising of shipping both inbound and outbound of Sentinel product
- Working with the team to ensure the production plan can be executed for the coming week
- Ordering/maintaining stock of consumables
- Delivery of customer orders when required
- Assisting in the general administration of the business when required
- Maintenance and updating of the Management Report
Qualifications and attributes
We are looking for an individual with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all facets of the organisation, with a good working knowledge of manufacturing management software and Microsoft Office.
