Relief Security Officer – Carlisle

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Relief Security Officer to join our dynamic team on a zero hour contract. This role is perfect for anyone looking to stay within the Security industry or start a new career in Security.

This is a customer-facing role, and we are seeking candidates who can:

1. Provide security services at various sites across a defined geographical area as required.
2. Protect the customer\’s employees, property, and other assets in line with the relevant Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements.
3. Work in challenging situations, sometimes on short notice.
4. Work variable shifts, including day and night shifts, depending on client requirements.
5. Operate at various sites such as corporate front of house, warehousing, retail, construction sites, etc.

To succeed in this role, you should be confident, articulate, and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You will need reliable transport or access to good public transport links to travel between sites.

Although demanding, a Relief Security Officer role with SGS offers the chance to demonstrate excellent customer service skills while engaging with customers, clients, and visitors, remaining alert to security issues, and ensuring everyone\’s safety.

Essential Skills:

1. Availability to cover shifts at short notice.
2. Valid SIA Door Supervisors License.
3. Right to work in the UK.
4. Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any periods of unemployment, self-employment, or education during that time.
