Job Description
The role of a Relief Security Officer can be challenging, especially when working on short notice. Shift times are variable, and work is ad-hoc, depending on our clients\’ requirements.
To succeed in this role, you need to be confident, articulate, and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You must be able to travel to different sites as required, so having your own transport or good public transport links is essential. You must hold a current SIA Licence, a valid driving license, and have access to a vehicle.
While demanding, a Relief Security Officer role with SGS allows you to demonstrate excellent customer service skills by engaging with customers, clients, and visitors throughout each shift, remaining alert to security issues, and ensuring everyone\’s safety.
Essential Skills
- Availability to cover shifts at short notice when called upon.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor\’s Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any unemployment, self-employment, or education periods during that time.
