Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Postpartum Mother-Baby Unit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse who demonstrates compassion and patience in providing special care to new Moms and Infants. The Mother-Baby Unit is a 30-bed facility where nurses assess, ensure proper healing, and provide self-care education to new Moms during their postpartum stay. The unit encourages rooming-in with the newborn. Nurses are responsible for assessing, cleaning, feeding, swaddling the newborn, and educating the new Mom on infant care.

Shift Details: Rotating shifts, 36 hours per week, with every 3rd weekend worked.

Location: Norfolk, VA

Requirements:

  • 1-year RN experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing (REQUIRED).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (REQUIRED).
  • RN-Associate's Degree, RN-Bachelor's Degree, or RN-Diploma (REQUIRED).
