Overview:
Department Overview: Our 20-bay PACU at Norfolk General is seeking a new or experienced Patient Care Technician to join our fast-paced unit that supports all specialties in our Level I Trauma Center.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) and one of the following:
- Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, or
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), or
- US Navy Hospital Corps School completion, or
- Emergency Services (EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic), or
- Current student in a clinical program (beyond prerequisites) with at least one semester completed in RN, LPN, RT, or PT, or
- Recent work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
Certification/Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
