City/State Williamsburg, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Home Care Services Williamsburg is hiring a full-time LPN who can work remotely from Virginia or North Carolina! Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with weekend and on-call requirements (1 weekend/month and 1 on-call day/week). Job Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN demonstrates professional and clinical knowledge in delivering direct patient care, adhering to site-specific competency standards. The LPN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, supporting and communicating effectively with physicians, NPs, and PAs, providing care, patient education, and advocacy, while adhering to legal and ethical standards. Responsibilities include testing, medication administration, and implementing nursing care plans across various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and private homes.
