Sentara is hiring a Food Service Worker to work as a Barista for the Nook at Sentara Leigh Hospital Food Services. Shift - Full-time, Day Shift hours, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and/or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who support the team by delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves:
- Preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines
- Maintaining cleanliness
- Washing dishes
- Working as a cashier
- Ensuring food safety standards are met
As a Food Service Worker with Sentara, you will be involved in various aspects of delivering food to patients. A Food Handlers Card is required in the city of Norfolk.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent / Experience in lieu of degree/diploma accepted.
Certification/Licensure: Food Handlers Card - Certification - Food Service Certification (as required by local Health Department).
