Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Acute-Care training to join its Hospital Medicine Program on the campus of Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia.

Our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are essential to this foundation, and we seek to continue to grow their impact and scope of practice throughout our hospitals.

*10K Commencement Bonus and $5K Retention Bonus following years 2 and 3*

Position highlights:

  • Join established group of 18 doctors and 2 APPs
  • Night position supporting swing and night doctor, MRTs and admissions with some cross coverage calls after 2am
  • Alternating schedule with other APPs
  • Onboarding with direct training from doctor and APPs with goal to proficiently admit and handle complex issues
  • Case mix of medical and some surgical/OB
  • Open ICU with inhouse overnight critical care coverage

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, and urological services. It offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to a dedicated orthopedic hospital with 48 beds. The hospital provides a full-service Emergency Room, Critical Care, GI, Oncology services, and a Family Maternity Center.
