As Business Development Executive, you will help drive strategic sales for the company, using effective sales strategies and key account management to increase repeat business of existing customers and to win new clients. You will work collaboratively with our internal sales and marketing professionals, and externally with our global partners to promote the Sensoteq brand and build the company reputation, in turn supporting revenue generation across sales channels.

The Role

  • Support the strategic management and growth of major OEM client accounts on a global basis, helping to negotiate preferential supply agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date product forecasts for large client accounts and communicate these to the company supply chain regularly, reviewing when necessary if demand significantly exceeds or falls short of estimates.
  • Work closely with the internal Production and Operations teams on the timely delivery of sales orders.
  • Work together with the Customer Success and Product Teams to ensure major client accounts receive sufficient training and service support.
  • Ensure high customer retention levels and timely payments of annual software subscriptions by nurturing customer relationships.
  • Work together with the wider Business Development team to support dynamic sales plans to grow market share and enter new territories.
  • Maximise sales through building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Respond to inbound enquiries arising from trade shows, website contact or other, arranging initial discovery call and ultimately driving conversion to new business for the Company.
  • Maintain accurate customer information with timely record keeping on the company's CRM.
  • Support the wider sales team to quote, tender for, and win new business.
  • Build Brand reputation by working closely with customers to attain feedback and client testimonials, which can be used to drive new business.
  • Attend global trade shows, conferences and events or undertake market visits as required to identify and win new business.
  • Travel to meet with Customers or visit sites as required to provide support and secure new business.
  • Provide support for the wider marketing/business development team as needed.

What You Will Need

  • Degree educated, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing effective sales strategies, growing existing client accounts and winning new business.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop strong customer relationships and navigate a variety of audiences and industries across all sales channels.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding business targets, and experience in establishing and maintaining successful customer partnerships.
  • Experience in events and exhibitions coordination, and able to travel.
  • Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
  • Good understanding of the tools used to evaluate successful sales campaigns that use a range of tactics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, team members and stakeholders, and deliver to a high quality.
  • Industry experience in electronics, engineering, or a key market sector.
  • Passion for delivering excellent service and positively impacting customers.
