An established and highly regarded independent hearing care provider is looking for an ambitious Graduate Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a final-year audiology student, recent graduate or postgraduate who is looking to build a long-term career within independent private hearing care.
The successful candidate will initially be based at the main Cambridge clinic, receiving comprehensive training, one-to-one mentoring and ongoing clinical support.
As their experience and confidence develop, they will also support hearing care services across a network of seven partner optical practices.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting patients throughout their complete hearing care journey.
Responsibilities will include

- Providing clear, professional and unbiased clinical recommendations.
- Recommending suitable hearing technology based on clinical need, lifestyle and budget.
- Programming, fitting and verifying hearing aids.
- Completing Real Ear Measurements.
- Conducting speech-in-noise testing, including Quick SIN and AB word lists.
- Completing uncomfortable loudness level testing where clinically appropriate.
- Providing hearing aid adjustments, maintenance and ongoing aftercare.
- Supporting patients with hearing aid use, expectations and rehabilitation.
- Maintaining accurate, detailed and confidential clinical records.
- Taking ownership of the patient journey from initial enquiry through to long-term aftercare.

Full hearing assessments are typically scheduled for approximately 90 minutes, allowing the audiologist sufficient time to understand the patient’s needs and provide a thorough, personalised consultation.
The organisation does not operate a traditional hearing aid trial model or hold large amounts of hearing aid stock.
Devices are ordered specifically for each patient and are normally received within approximately 48 hours.

The successful candidate will work with high-quality clinical equipment and software, including:
- Otometrics equipment.
- Aurical systems.
- Otosuite.
- Real Ear Measurement equipment.
- Speech-in-noise testing systems.
- Hearing aid fitting and programming software from leading manufacturers.
The clinic provides a full range of hearing testing, although tympanometry is not currently part of the standard clinical protocol.
Locations
The successful candidate will initially be based at the main Cambridge clinic.
As they become fully trained and ready to work more independently, they will support clinics and optical partners across locations including:
- Cambridge.
- March.
- Chatteris.
- Newmarket.
- Waterbeach.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the designated area are therefore essential.
Candidate Requirements

- HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispensers.
- BSc, MSc or equivalent audiology graduates.
HCPC registration is not essential at the point of application for final-year students or recent graduates.
Support will be provided while the successful candidate completes the registration process, and the cost of initial HCPC registration will be covered.

Salary and Commission
The package includes

The business has demonstrated strong growth, achieving approximately £350,000 turnover during its first year from a standing start and forecasting approximately £500,000 during its second year.
Current hearing aid sales average approximately £35,000 per month, providing the successful candidate with excellent earning potential as they develop their experience and patient base.
