Job Description: Optical Branch Manager
Are you an experienced Dispensing Optician searching for a new and exciting opportunity in management?
I am working with an independant family owned company who beleive their people are the key to their success, and are actively searching for a Branch Manager to join their team situated in Addlestone. This is a full time position, and will include Saturday working.
My client is a retail opticians and audiology business, founded in 1928 and have grown to have 35 stores, all special and unique β 25 fully owned, 7 franchised, 2 co-owned and 1 business operating under its own name.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and management of the optical branch
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets
- Manage and train a team of optical staff
- Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and assignments
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- Generate sales reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other branches and departments to optimize overall business performance
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in optical retail or management role
- Qualified Dispensing Optician
- Fully Registered with the GOC
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in computer software and basic financial management
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
