At Sensient Technologies, we are experts in the science, art and innovation of color and flavor. We are looking for a Compounder to join our team to support the flavor creation and sampling team by compounding, labelling and preparing flavors for shipping following the appropriate procedures.

What you’ll do:

  • Work to guarantee the traceability and quality of Compound samples with consistent accuracy and precision according to formulation (liquid and powder).
  • Assist in the evaluation of raw materials for organoleptic quality and specification review and support flavor creation.
  • Keep the sample KPIs on track and prioritise tasks by using your own initiative to solve issues quickly according to agreed priorities and maintain a clean work environment by observing all laboratory protocols.
  • Check stock levels, replenishing where required though compounding or liaising with production.
  • Pack and ship samples using relevant logistical IT systems and complete document filing for customs purposes.
  • Participate in Sensory Panels and maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with team members.

What you’ll bring:

  • A Scientific background with an ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentage calculations and conversion between imperial and metric units of measure.
  • Minimum of High school education or GED. Associate degree would be an advantage.
  • An ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • No prior experience required, however any laboratory experience and knowledge in health and safety would be an advantage.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and be able to occasionally lift up-to 25lbs.
