We are looking for a Chemical Operator to join our BCM/Arianor team and play a critical role in supporting a wide range of activities for the manufacture of dyes process; including chemical synthesis, filtering, kibbling, milling, blending, packing and storage of products. This job opening is offered on fixed term basis for 3 months.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the manufacture and processing of dyes, intermediates, cosmetic products and lakes.
- Operate all processing equipment including: presses, reaction vessels, ovens, Guedo’s, program setting, moisture checking, de-traying, kibblers, mills and blenders etc.
- Follow all operating procedures written and verbal.
- Operate mechanical handling equipment.
- Assist in the movement of materials.
- Perform in-process quality analysis tests.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs.
- Clean equipment and work area per standardised procedures.
What you’ll bring:
- Shift flexibility.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment according to safety, environmental and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Color and dust particles may be present in the air or throughout the facility. Allergens may be present in the air.
- Forklift licence.
- High School qualifications in Maths, English, demonstrating good literacy and arithmetic. (Prior chemical manufacturing experience preferred).
