The Senior Procurement Category Manager for EMEA is reporting to the Procurement Director. He shall manage the purchases and strategies for assigned chemical and ingredient categories including commodities, as an example but not limited to: proteins; yeast extracts; baked items; cocoa; solvents, additives and acids etc. Acts as liaison to EMEA Sensient business units to help promote communication and alignment to business unit goals pertaining to procurement. Have knowledge of capital and indirect procurement management that would optimize process improvements within assigned Categories.
At all times working in accordance with our global food safety policies and procedures that support activities of the Quality and Regulatory functions. Responsible for identifying & achieving assigned cost saving initiatives target, whilst in compliance with auditable and finance rulings as assigned by the Procurement Director.
What you’ll do:

Assumes the leadership role for assigned categories across multiple EMEA locations

Responsible for strategic alignment of categories to proactively drive annual cost saving initiatives as ether regional or multi-regional, to optimise economic benefit.

Prepares contracts across a global supply base for the assigned categories of direct raw material services, through negotiated pricing and consolidation techniques.

Identifies and assists in the qualification of new suppliers together with Global Quality Groups.

Tracks cost saving initiatives monthly / quarterly / annually.

Prepares and presents quarterly to the management groups on market conditions, business updates and opportunities in assigned categories, prepares annual budgets and analysis for assigned categories.

Identifies new supplier capabilities & implements suppliers’ reviews that that will maintain existing, or that establish favorable long-term Purchase & Supply Chain relationships and agreements, globally.

Degree level of education.

CIPS Qualified / Equivalent or working towards at an advanced stage.

Experience in strategic sourcing within Chemical, Food Ingredient or Pharmaceutical roles, that include finance support, commodity management & contract management.

Strong organizational, negotiation, communication and leadership skills with ability to self-manage.

Exposure to and facilitator of supplier negotiations, supplier contracting, value analysis techniques, and being an ‘out of the box’ thinker.

Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

In-depth experience of report writing, data generation with final analysis.
