We are looking for a Superintendent Operations to join our Operations team to manage day‑to‑day manufacturing, production and associated activities and ensure compliance with all legislative, business and customer demands, in a safe, timely and cost‑effective manner while maintaining quality across production.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage operations from receipt of raw materials, manufacturing and dispatch of excellent finished goods through daily liaison with relevant departments ensuring the smooth running of the production and warehousing operation to a continuous high‑quality standard.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and prepare data‑driven reports, analytic modelling and work instructions guiding operation planning, food production key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity. Champion best practice for recruitment and development of staff and lead working level communities to explore opportunities for improvement projects.
  • Review, recommend and implement production methods, process controls, quality systems, food safety procedures, health and safety and environmental legislation, for regulatory approval and commissioning in accordance with required quality, GMP and safety standards, ensuring sustainability strategies are incorporated.
  • Lead key production processes in compliance with budget, schedules, quality control, yield opportunities and cross‑departmental coordination for site logistics, production, accurate stock control and execution of an annual cycle count program.
  • Propose, justify and implement capital projects, enabling the business to develop and improve, in line with customer expectations, external audits and modern business requirements.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5 years’ management experience or equivalent within a production operation (Food or related standards).
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge (ideally with recognized formal qualification) preferred.
  • Management experience within a Unionised environment a plus.
  • Detailed working knowledge of GMP and food hygiene systems/procedures.
