At Sensient Technologies, we are looking for a Quality Control Sensory Technician to join our team in Milton Keynes to support the quality control team. You will prepare samples and product retains for the sensory activities, helping the team reduce complaints and ensure the laboratory equipment meets inspection-ready conditions aligned to food safety standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain, organize, and manage reference samples, ensuring proper labeling, storage conditions, traceability, and timely disposal when required in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage product retain samples to support customer complaints, investigations, shelf-life studies, audits and product comparisons, and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Support analytical laboratory activities by preparing samples, reagents, and laboratory materials for testing and assist analysts in performing routine analytical tests following approved SOP’s.
  • Support the sensory evaluation of finished goods and raw materials by preparing samples accurately and consistently for sensory panels.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment, glassware, and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or another Science discipline.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) within an analytical laboratory, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Numerical/data entry and basic computer skills (Microsoft office).
  • Experience in the food and flavor industry sector is essential.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
