The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.
Manage the site engineering function and maintain process equipment, buildings, facilities, grounds and services at minimum costs to meet operational requirements, engineering standards and statutory regulations. Propose and collaborate with the design and execution of capital engineering improvement initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain the Bletchley facility, plant, safety equipment and systems to comply with GMP standards and Health, Safety & Environment requirements, notably ATEX regulations.
- Schedule, action and document statutory testing of pressure vessels, lifting equipment, steam boilers, electrical equipment and firefighting/detection equipment and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage an effective Preventative Planned Maintenance system to identify and repair faults and minimize unscheduled shutdowns.
- Effectively delegate work to the engineers and ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Ensure maintenance staff are trained and competent to carry out the tasks assigned to them and have a full understanding of their work procedures and their responsibility to follow them.
- Exercise budgetary supervision, minimum inventory holdings, controlled use of energy, internal labour and third-party contractors.
- Monitor effluent discharge levels, highlighting to site management and process departments when levels approach discharge consent limits, developing, implementing and managing KPI’s.
What you’ll bring:
- HNC or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- A sound working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical systems and civil construction.
- 5 years’ management of an engineering or maintenance function within a chemical or process environment.
- Engineering management of hazardous environments and a thorough working knowledge of ATEX.
- Knowledge of Maintenance planning systems + Inventory Tracker.
