We are looking for a Junior Cost & Manufacturing Accountant to join our team to partner with plant and manufacturing teams to support their goals, provide data driven recommendations, and help ensure consistent inventory and manufacturing controls.
What you’ll do:
- Provide product costings for items produced at different European manufacturing sites
- Calculate intracompany/intercompany transfer prices
- Prepare analysis to support margin improvement
- Prepare and post month end journal entries
- Ensure inventory, inventory provisions and variances (PPV, yield, absorption and standard cost changes) are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Analysis of current Inventory to ensure this is effectively managed
- Contribute to improvements in internal financial controls that comply with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements or other relevant guidance
- Work with the Supply Chain Controller to satisfy Internal and External Audit requirements
What you’ll bring:
- An AAT qualification
- Experience of working in a Finance Department
- Familiar with month end reporting, journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Good oral/written communication skills and able to communicate with Finance and non-Finance personnel
- Strong excel skills and experience of working with ERP systems
- Analytical and comfortable working with large amounts of data
