Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive IT Administrator to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing and improving internal IT systems, supporting staff with technology needs, and ensuring secure, efficient infrastructure that scales as we grow. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys owning and optimizing IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & End-User Services: Provide day-to-day IT support for employees: hardware, software, permissions, account provisioning, troubleshooting and ticket resolution. Onboard and offboard employees, including setting up user accounts, email, access rights and devices. Maintain an internal knowledge base and support documentation.
- Infrastructure & Systems Administration: Manage and maintain internal systems including workstations (Windows/Mac), endpoint security software, VPN and remote access tools, cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft 365, Device Management etc.), cameras and surveillance, collaboration devices and tools. Monitor and manage network devices, firewalls and connectivity to ensure reliable access.
- Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for cybersecurity: patch and update management, anti-virus/EDR tools, MFA, secure configurations, email security and phishing protection. Ensure systems and processes align with enterprise security and regulatory frameworks relevant for clients in capital markets (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27k, SOC2 type 2). Lead audits, compliance documentation and risk assessments.
- Collaboration with Tech Teams: Work closely with Engineering and Data Science teams to support development environments, servers, CI/CD tools and internal tooling. Assist with provisioning and managing development and staging environments for internal tooling.
- Asset & Vendor Management: Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage lifecycle (procurement, deployment, upgrade/replacement). Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, automate routine tasks and enhance team productivity. Recommend and implement new tools that elevate internal operations and security posture.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT support / IT administration roles (ideally in tech or startup environments).
- Strong understanding of Windows, macOS and common productivity tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365).
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and security practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Desirable
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and basic DevOps tooling.
- Knowledge of identity/access management solutions (e.g. Azure AD).
- Experience with endpoint security, VPNs and zero-trust networking.
- Previous exposure to finance or regulated industries.
