In this role, you will leverage your expertise in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and data analysis to develop and refine advanced algorithms that extract valuable insights from textual data related to ESG factors. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement NLP models and algorithms to analyze and process large-scale textual data from various sources, such as company reports, social media posts, and financial newsCollaborate with data scientists, developers, and other team members to enhance ESG rating methodologies, improve data processing pipelines, and optimize platform performanceStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to ensure the continued innovation of Sensefolio\’s ESG data and analytics solutionsConduct research on emerging ESG trends and issues, and incorporate findings into model development and enhancementDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including model specifications, performance metrics, and validation results
Qualifications
Bachelor\’s degree in computer science, data science, linguistics, or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD) is a plusA minimum of 3 years of professional experience in NLP, machine learning, or artificial intelligence, preferably within the financial services, ESG, or data analytics industriesProficiency in Python and NLP libraries, such as NLTK, spaCy, or GensimStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principlesExperience working with large-scale data processing, distributed computing, or cloud-based platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS) is highly desirableFamiliarity with ESG investing principles and market trends is a plusExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
