Your next role

We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team and play a key role in keeping our processes accurate, organised, and running smoothly. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working closely with colleagues across the business. You'll gain exposure to group-level processes, contribute to improvements, and play a part in ensuring everything behind the scenes works as it should.

What you will be doing

In this role, you'll be involved in a variety of activities, including:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Managing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
  • Supporting weekly payment runs in line with deadlines
  • Working closely with teams across the business to ensure timely approvals
  • Assisting with month-end activities and reconciliations
  • Contributing to improving and standardising purchase ledger processes across the group

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with high volumes of data. You will ideally bring:

  • At least 2 years experience in a purchase ledger or similar role
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems (Sage is a bonus)
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at all levels
  • Experience in a multi-site or service-based environment (desirable)

If you also have experience supervising or leading elements of a process, even better - but it's not essential.
